You’ll know when your child is not a baby anymore. He may be feeling moody about the decor of the baby’s room he’s using. One great thing that a parent can do when he notices these changes is to suggest a total makeover for the nursery. The ideal time to do this is before your child reaches middle school. Read on for more tips…

This project is not necessarily expensive. To save money, you can construct some of the furnitures yourself, like the study table, the computer table, the bed frame and the cabinets. Roll up your sleeves, buy some furniture kits from the shop, and bring out your tools for some DIY fun. The good news is that you can do this in one weekend.

Space saving furniture and appliances will be best for your child’s room. Give him enough space to play in, and enough surfaces for his old toys.

Loft Beds

A loft bed is the best option if you want to create a study nook for your child inside his room. Get a loft bed kit and start planning where you will position the bed inside the room. You may have to assemble the pieces of the loft bed inside the room if you’re using a kit.

Folding Chairs and Table

Friends will be very important for growing kids. This is the main reason why you should think of socialization when renovating your child’s room. You can install folding tables and chairs for this purpose. This is also to conserve floor space just in case the kids want to sit in front of the console or create their projects on the floor.

Study Nook

Your child’s room must have to types of desks, one for studying, and another for the computer. Your kid might prefer his own work table for doing homework or coloring instead of the dining room table. Because of this, you should get a separate table for working on home assignments.

Ceiling Fans

Plain, thin-blade ceiling fans are functional as well as economical. The ceiling fan models with intricate designs are for the living room. Quiet fans that do the job without disturbing the inhabitant of the room are ideal.

You will also need to allow your child some independence when it comes to bedroom decor. Let him mount posters of his favorite artists or cartoon characters.
